'All the latest thrills hurtling over Florida's horizons'..........
'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter', has brought record numbers of excited Muggles to Universal Orlando Resort since its mega opening summer 2010.
Needless to say, there are already NEW thrills about to hurtle over Florida's horizons.
Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens
First up for speed lovers is Cheetah hunt, the new high speed coaster at Busch gardens, Tampa, in the spring 2011. The ride will pair man-made thrills with natures fastest land animal, the cheetah - and use the force of repelling magnets to launch riders three times from 0-60mph in a matter of seconds.
Expect numerous twists and turns and a vertical plunge into a ravine, before the ride hurtles across the park's Serengeti Plain.
It will also house a cheetah run where around six times a day one of the eight cheetahs will be seen sprinting 200 yards alongside the ride.
Disney's Star Tours 11 3D
If that's not fast enough for you the new Star Tours 11 3D adventures at Disney's Hollywood studios will simulate zippier speeds. This new version bridges the two Star Wars trilogies, introducing more characters and special affects and whirling riders to the planet Coruscant, home of the Galactic Empire.
It then calls in on the Boonta Eve Classic, the largest annual pod race in the galaxy with simulated speeds of up to 500 mph in immersive 3D.
Discover the Grand Reef
After all that adrenaline, it could be time to unwind – and where better than a soothing under sea world? Discovery Cove, the tropical oasis where guests can swim with dolphins, is opening an all new area called The Grand Reef. Here visitors can relax in hammocks on white sand beaches or go deeper by snorkelling among thousands of exotic fish and graceful rays. The High light is Sea Venture, an underwater walking tour where guests wear special dive helmets to 'hike' across the lagoon floor. Over the way, One Ocean is SeaWorld Orlando's energetic new Shamu show debuting in April 2011. It comes with incredible lighting, soaring fountains for the leaping killer whales to play among - and inspiration to care for the one ocean we share and the animals that live in it.
Building Legoland Florida
Further ahead, the excitement is building as fast as the little bricks at Legoland Florida, opening in October 2011.
The worlds biggest Legoland covering 150 acres will be at Winter Haven, 45 minutes Southwest of Orlando theme parks. Set in tropical land scapes, it will feature more than 50 rides, shows and attractions including huge Lego models. These range from an audibly snoring grandpa, to a 40,000 brick blacksmith for Castle Hill, a shark's head for Skipper school and Merlin the Wizard for inside the castle.
The Magic Continues
The Magic continues at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which gave Universal Orlando Resort its biggest quarter at the end of 2010. In the ever expanding world of Orlando theme parks, don't expect Walt Disney World to rest on its laurels for long.
A massively expanded Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom is set to start opening from late 2012, with many new attractions.
These will range from the Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid, to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, to the chance to meet Disney princesses in their new home at Princess Fairytale Hall.
